Appreciate Life with Only a Small Chunk of Change

There is nothing more peaceful and serene than sharing the outdoors with our feathered friends, especially when they take such pleasure in serenading us. One of the easiest bird species to entice into our Yellowstone back yard is the finch. These small birds are unique in that they are not particularly scared of humans, congregate in numbers, display a variety of colors and song patterns, and willingly feed from nylon mesh bags.
www.allaboutneem.com. The article, Five Simple Song Bird Attraction Tips, also mentioned that finches are widely dispersed around
America and as such can be attracted to urban, suburban, and rural areas.
What is amazing is how a nature lover can stand within an arm’s reach of a flock of finches for hours at a time. It is almost like observing them under a microscope.
The best part about owning your own finch feeders is how you learn to appreciate how delicate life is, and it only takes about 10 minutes a month to maintain this finch bag feeder.
Another positive note is that finches do not have to compete with squirrels, who can decimate traditional grain feeders. The thistle seeds in these nylon
bags are entirely eaten by the finches, and not stolen by rodents. Since
the feeder bag is made out of bathing suit nylon mesh, it dries quickly which prevents the seed from deteriorating or sprouting.
As a child, I dedicated too much time focused on hunting, killing, and eating birds, rather than living and let live. It is much more pleasurable spending money (and such a small sum!) on finch feeders and watch life in action. By attracting finches, I hope my children can appreciate life sooner than I did.
